The Lotus flower of Prasanthi Nilayam, the place of the highest peace, represents the „Lotus of the Heart“ and universal love. She is prominently featured on the Prasanthi logo from The Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and as an architectural element within the ashram in Puttaparthi. The lotus symbolises the opening of the heart in the light of unity and all-encompassing love, inner purity and the awakening of spiritual wisdom amidst worldly challenges.
Love All Serve All – „Love all, serve all“ is a spiritual and ethical tenet, embodied by the Avatar Sri Sathya Sai Baba in the form of lived love. Essentially, this mantra is a call to compassionate living, recognising that service to others is tantamount to service to oneself and the Divine. This spiritual guide encourages the recognition of the Divine in every being, transcending the boundaries of religion, caste, or origin, and acting compassionately without expectation of reward.
Service (Selfless Service) is a spiritual discipline that Sathya Sai Baba described as „the true nature of devotion, the true breath of a disciple of the Divine, their very essence.“ Seva is action that is not fixed on results, but rather is oriented towards placing everything that arises from our personal effort into the hands of the Divine source. This requires us to be willing to let go of our concepts at any time – even those of „doing good“ – and instead to develop the awareness that the Divine source is the inner movement in all things.
